I recommend using double-sided tape or super glue to attach the handle to the cutter.

I use sewing machine oil for the rails, and these things apply the oil very evenly. It's also so much easier to do than any other method I tried. And these things cost like a dollar for a whole set.

I didn't try them with the lead screw grease, though.
