The last few months have been a roller coaster. In early February, I caught my then long time boyfriend creating ai generated csam of my minor daughter. I immediately handed over his phone to the police, placed protection orders, and got him removed from the property. No arrest was made. The detective working the case confirmed the forensics team recovered enough evidence to warrant felony charges against him and that it has been sent to the prosecutors office for review on April 2nd. I have not received any updates since that time.
How long does it typically take for an arrest to be made after they already recovered the evidence in such cases?
We were co-signed on each others vehicles. Since that time, I have traded in my vehicle to be the sole signer. I have tried requesting of the loan lender to remove me from his vehicle, they said they do not accept changes in co-signers no matter the circumstances and the only way to to remove me would be for him to either refinance, pay off the remainder of the loan, or trade in the vehicle for a new loan. I have requested this be done since February and he refuses to make any changes. He has since stopped making payments on the vehicle and I am now being held financially responsible for a vehicle not in my possession and I unable to afford making the payments myself.
How can I get removed from this loan without being held financially responsible for this?
I have tried calling lawyers in my area for advice but everyone I’ve tried works in defense and has been unable to offer any advice. Please help me.
