6 Days Post Stereostatic Biopsy - Bruising/Soreness and Steri-Strips Question

I'm over the moon that my results were benign!!!!!

But this recovery is really dragging me down.

The bruising started as light yellow when I took the top bandage off. Today the yellow is darker and has spread. I'm still experiencing a fair amount of tenderness/soreness. I don't think there's anything super wrong but because the steri-strips are still on there I can't say if there's discharge or redness underneath (6 steri-strips in a star pattern). I don't have a fever. I don't feel a noticeable bump. There is some blood-like color under the steri-strips but I *think* it's been like that and is residual from the procedure? I wish I had paid better attention.

I can remove the steri-strips tomorrow per my care sheet. I'd like to take them off so I can look but they're still on there pretty good. Using alcohol and a q-tip was how the care sheet said to remove them without further guidance. I don't understand how this works. Plus I get a queasy sensation thinking about removing them.

I guess I'm just having a lot of anxiety.

Anyone here sore/tender/bruised 6 days post biopsy?
If you took off stubborn steri-strips how did you do it?

Thanks, y'all. x

I'm wondering if smaller breasts cause slower recovery post biopsy

Member of the itty bitty titty committee here. Had a stereostatic biopsy done on the left girl exactly 24 hours ago. Sleeping was brutal as a side sleeper that had to become a back sleeper last night and despite the pillows and support bra now my girl AND my left shoulder/neck are jacked up. I'm also very sore at the site. Ice helps somewhat. It's the neck/shoulder that's really bumming me out right now, though. Tylenol isn't making a dent (can't wait to be able to take Advil in another 24 hours). I imagine my recovery isn't going to be as smooth as others have posted about. I def don't see myself going for a jog anytime soon. So I'm wondering if fellow members of the IBTC have felt like they recovered slower than expected?

Stereostatic Biopsy After Care Expectations

Hi! My clinic *finally* got a supply of stereostatic needles in and set my appt for June 29. They did not give me pre- or post-care information. I'm trying to get in touch with them but I was curious from people's experiences what can I expect and what products/items should I have on hand? What helped you? What did you wish you had? At what point did you feel like you could raise your arm? Get back to regular exercise (weight lifting, etc)?

I live alone and won't be up for driving around buying things that they didn't tell me I needed. Plus I have an in-office job that I'll have to go in for 2 days after my appt (read: wash hair).

Thanks :)
