Driving from Galixidi to Lavrio worth it?
Hi from Montreal! I'll be in Greece 3 weeks in july-august. Planning on going to Sifnos, Milos and Syros. I'll stay 3 days in Athens, then drive to Galaxidi for a 2 nights stay before making my way to the Cyclades.
I was wondering : would it be a nice experience to drive from Galaxidi to Lavrio and take the ferry there instead of leaving from Larvaeus port? I could either sleep in Lavrio (ou close by) and take the morning ferry to Sifnos, or i could leave the same day to Syros.
Actually any tips, help, recommandation would be greatly appreciated :) Here's my hypothetic itinerary if the drive to Lavrio is worth it :
21-24 july : Athens
24-26 july : Delphos + Galaxidi
26-27 july : driving to Lavrio and sleeping in the area + ferry to Syros in the morning
or
26 july : driving to Lavrio + ferry to Sifnos in the afternoon
Then approx 4 days in each island : Syros, Sifnos and Milos, before returning to Athens (order will vary if my first stop is Syros or Sifnos).
I was planning on keeping my rental car and bringing it on ferries to save me the hassle of renting a new one on every island but I know this is not always a popular option haha... I might change my mind. Nothing except for my flight and Galaxidi is set in stone at this point :D
