▲ 9 r/ponds

Decided comets and frogs in a 300 gallon pond weren’t cutting it. Started digging a proper Koi pond. So far, it’s 5 feet at its deepest, and we’re targeting a minimum of 3500 gallons. There will be a bottom drain “koi toilet” that will feed into a helix sediment tank on the lower right. There will be a skimmer on the lower left with a pump up to a bead filter, into an upper bog wildlife pond, then a waterfall back down to the Koi. Trying to figure out the electric and plumbing now. Open to ideas and suggestions. No idea how long this will take or if we’ll have to involve professionals at some point.
