Pre employment Polygraph

Hey everyone one. I recently completed my polygraph and now waiting for the background stuff before I continue the process. Feel confident I did ok on polygraph. Was honest with everything. Examiner told me how they were doing board interviews and said hopefully he sees me around so I took that as a promising sign. Called the recruiter to check up cause I wasnt sure how that works. They told me id either get a call from a background detective or wait for the letter in mail. I know letter in the mail means rejection for this particular department. But for some reason the recruiter telling me that just made me think I didnt pass polygraph. Should I just stick with my initial thoughts and take him saying hopefully he sees me around and him telling me how board interviews work as a good sign? Guess im nervous cause I've waited a long time to do this with life getting in the way.

Sorry for the long winded post
