Braking on a hill
I was burning up my hands going down the ramp. Is it OK to use the wheel brakes or would that rip up the tires?

10 days after surgery and my knee, leg and foot is still swollen. It gets better after being in bed or with it up on the couch. Is this common?
I thought that I could just put the crutches handgrip over the wheel chair back handgrip but the crutch tips end up in the wheel chair spokes. I hoping that someone has a cleaver method to do this?
I put the brace on over my pants. Now, today, I can bend my leg but wear the brace for stability. After surgery, I have to keep he brace on 24/7 for 8 weeks. I got very little info on how to do that. Should I just assume that I have to get my pants over the brace? Anyone else doing anything similar that can give me some tips. They said I can take it off but the leg must not bend. I was not successful on a test try, changing the pants that were under the brace.
FYI:

My leg is in a brace, and I need a wheelchair with the leg lift. I bought a Medline chair on Amazon. The problem is that when the footrest is raised, and my leg is straight, I do not fit between the back of the seat and the footrest. If the adjustable footrest length were 1 " longer, it would be fine. I will fit with a 3" cushion and my shoes off. I am only 5'9". Would I have the same problem with another chair? Any suggestions for fixing this?
