Need apartment advice: 2B2B, $2k budget, parks nearby, commute to Millcreek
Hi everyone! My spouse and I are relocating to the Salt Lake area for work, and I’d love some local recommendations.
We’re a South Asian working couple, and my office will be in Millcreek. We’re specifically looking in Sandy, Midvale, Cottonwood Heights, Murray, Holladay, or Millcreek (happy to commute if the area is a better fit).
Our wishlist: • 2 bed / 2 bath • Budget: $1,900–$2,000 all-in (rent + typical fees if possible) • A walkable park / trail / green space nearby for evening walks • Safe area, good for professionals • Bonus if there’s decent access to Indian grocery stores / South Asian community / good Indian food nearby
We’re trying to balance commute, lifestyle, and budget, so I know there may be tradeoffs. Are there specific apartment communities you’d strongly recommend (or areas to avoid)?
Would especially love input from fellow South Asians / working professionals who’ve lived in the area.
