Walt hid (or more appropriately, was hidden) in the fuel tank of a propane truck because of the Vacuum Guy's totally justified fear of Walt being recognised. He was in there from Albuquerque to New Hampshire. That's almost a full day of continuous driving, lying uncomfortably in the pitch black. I suffer from claustrophobia, that freaks the hell out of me

Considering Walt knew at that point that the cancer was back, he must have contemplated whether falling off the map was worth it. What's the overriding thing keeping him from just throwing in the towel and getting himself arrested?
