I had surgery on my posterior tibial nerve a year ago. I’ve had pain throughout the year, although it gradually improved. However, for the past few months I’ve been having pain again in my heel — especially where the Achilles tendon inserts into the calcaneus — as well as on the top of my foot and around the surgical area. It actually hurts more now than it did 3–4 months ago. The area becomes swollen and it limits me a lot. I can’t do any sports or even walk more than 2 km. Do you have any recommendations for a traumatologist/orthopedic specialist? Appointments at my current center take a very long time and I’m getting desperate.
