Seeking Audition advice !
Hi!
I wanted to ask here about auditioning for an amateur theatre production of in the heights as a POC (black American) but I am a non Latina. I am asking about this here because there doesn’t seem to be a clear answer… I want to preface this by saying I want to be as respectful as possible with auditioning as a POC I know how hard it is to have representation and with there being such limited stories I want to do right by other communities and making sure representation is present especially in a story like this . I wanted to audition for Ensemble and potentially the role of Nina. Is this something that I should/ can do or is this an audition opportunity that I should let pass to the wayward side? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)
