Teachers raises come from the state passing legislation.

Prior legislature had the sense to forsee the day when a Jeff Landry hog would come along and try to rob dedicated trust funds for present day one time expenses that should be paid for by every damn chemical and petroleum plant in this godforsaken place.

If we cannot stop the stealing of retirement money in order to pay teachers then it's pretty clear some people on power need to go to prison
