Auto Limit enhancement on YES bank KIWI Rupay credit card

Auto Limit enhancement on YES bank KIWI Rupay credit card

Received auto limit enhancement on my YES bank KIWI rupay credit card. Using this card from past 1 year without the neon subscription.

Using mainly for UPI spends for around 5-10k on monthly basis. Earlier limit was 98000 and now increased to 132000. I do not see any benefit in it but would help to keep the utilisation low

Got the SBI PhonePe Select Black as a replacement to Axis Airtel Card

Applied for SBI PhonePe Select Black card via PhonePe app on 15th April. Did the V-KYC on the same day. Got a screen saying bank’s representative will contact for additional details.

No follow-up email or communication from SBI for next 1 week. Received a SMS stating card has been issued and will reach you at your registered address in next 5-7 days on 25th April.

Card was visible in the SBI card app and PhonePe app. Took almost 2 weeks for delhivery to deliver the card.

Got this on a First Year Free (FYF) basis with no joining fee. Will mainly be using for utility bill payments via PhonePe app for next 1 year to get 10% off. If it provides good value might re-consider to renew next year or close it. Will be using it along with SBI cashback for 5% online cashback as well.

Also seeing too many of these cards getting approved in the last few months it feels like devaluation in terms of max capping of rewards or cashback % is near likely by the end of this year.

CIBIL while applying - 779. Monthly in-hand - 1.10lpm. Savings account with SBI.
Already have SBI cashback and the limit is shared between both the cards.

Received last cashback of 818 rupees on my Axis Airtel Credit card. This was my first credit card which i got back in 2023.

Used to get at least 500 cashback every month for Airtel spends and utilities payments and occasional Zomato spends along with double dipping via tata neu on big basket spends. For an annual fee of 500 rupee this card was hands down one of the best cards out in the market.

With the recent devaluations i don’t find any point in holding this card even if they offer it as LTF or reverse the joining fee. I am shifting all my utility and recharge spends to SBI PhonePe Black card which recently got approved.

Let me know any other ways to pay utility bills to get max benefit.

Other cards i hold currently - Axis NEO, SBI cashback and PhonePe black, HSBC live plus and travel one, AmEx MRCC and Yes bank KIWI.
HDFC diners club Privilege is under process as i got it as FYF but hasn’t been approved yet

Applied for credit limit increase on my Axis NEO card via “Chat with the agent” option under the support tab on the Axis Bank’s website because i was not getting any auto LE offers from the bank.l from the past 1 year.

A bit of the background i already hold my savings and salary account with Axis bank and have FD’s worth over 10lakhs with the bank. Current CC limit 2lakhs. CIBIL is 779 and in hand salary is 1.20lpm

I have read somewhere that if you have a priority banking relationship with the Axis bank they resolve your requests under”T+24hours”. If they fail you receive a compensation from the bank. I have a priority salary account with the bank and i am using their family banking program as well.

The executive over the chat asked me on which card i want the have the limit increase and my expected limit. They told me there will be a CIBIL hit and 6 month freeze on any future limit enhancement requests. Didn’t asked for any documents like pay slip, bank statement or ITR.

They submitted the request on 28th April with the resolution time mentioned as 4th May but in the evening itself i received a SMS stating request processed and the new limit was visible in the mobile banking app.
Didn’t expected this quick response from Axis Bank. I am not sure if having a priority banking relationship helped here but I am happy with the overall experience. RM assigned to me is helpful as well in few cases.
