Its finally come time for me to pick between cars and I’m stumped. I’ve narrowed down to bmw because of the drive, fit, and overall preference, but am left with some options.
These are the main two:
- 2020 M340i with 50k miles
- 2023 330i with 11k miles
The 330i has M sport, premium, and shadowline packages, pretty much everything you can add. However, you can’t ignore the perfection of the M340i. I want this to be a car I keep for as long as I can keep it running, even willing to put the maintenance into it, but I am certainly still considering the maintenance cost differences, reliability, and longevity comparably. I’m also not opposed to shutting down models like the x3 or x4, especially in the M40i trim. I know the 330i will be the better bet while its warranty remains, but I’m unsure regarding the after that. Also, I’ll be driving through Midwest winters and don’t know how necessary xDrive is when taking that into consideration as I’ve heard mixed opinions. Any thoughts or insight is much appreciated!
