Is there a reason that the vaginal hole and anus are still so closely together after so long?
You would think that the two holes wouldn't be so extremely close together since the vaginal canal can get a potentially lethal infection from the bacteria in/on the anus. This doesn't make much sense to me but maybe I'm missing something. I would imagine that evolution would slowly move the vaginal opening further away from the anal opening
