Need any tips on what to do for meds since insurance is terrible
Was diagnosed with narcolepsy early February 2026 (had a event in 2025 have me eventually get tested very late January) and started armodafinil in March. Even with that medication blue cross blue shield (Anthem) wasn't exactly the nicest on providing it and I have a feeling will try to push me off it eventually but that's not the main problem right now. A few weeks after getting started on armodafinil my doctor prescribed me xywav, got denied by insurance. Then he tried lumryz a few weeks later, also denied. We even tried the normal sodium oxybate, denied. I'm stuck in a appeal process right now and won't know till the 21st of May (been about 2 months btw) if the appeal is approved or denied, and insurance wouldn't directly say it but very heavily implied they won't do anything for wakix either. If anyone has a suggestion for a nighttime medicine (insurance wants Adderall/Ritalin for daytime instead of a night option when I have diagnosed anxiety btw ) that would be great.
