I’ve been a medic for about 10 years and an FTO for 5. Our FTEP program is pretty structured.

Now the training department wants us to train two people at once. a brand new EMT and a brand new medic. I said no, and now I’m getting written up for insubordination.

I said no because I think it’s a safety issue and I don’t think I can train them properly at the same time.

This is a private company, so it feels like quantity over quality.

Am I being unreasonable, or is this a hill worth dying on?
