Participants Inquiry (Queer Combat Athletes)
Hi everyone! We are Psychology students currently conducting a research study about the lived experiences of Filipino queer combat athletes, particularly in relation to training, pain, injuries, and participation in full-contact combat sports.
We are looking for participants who are:
• LGBTQ+ identifying (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, or Non-Binary)
• 18 years old or above and Filipino
• Active in combat sports such as Boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, Judo, Taekwondo, Wrestling, etc.
• With at least 1 year of active training experience
• Actively involved in sparring or competitions
• Have experienced sport-related pain or injury within the last 12 months
The study aims to give voice to the experiences of queer athletes in combat sports and contribute to more inclusive discussions in sports and psychology.
