Okay, so after a couple of weeks of trying my luck my NSS finally failed thankfully at home. I want to test to be sure it's the NSS, but I'm unsure which wires I'm supposed to connect. Is it the green and white with the orange? Wiring diagrams say green and white to yellow but I don't see any yellow wires. I already tried realigning the NSS but no luck. Let me know if anyone has tried the bypass before. I'm not looking to permanently bypass just to confirm it's my NSS.

On the topic of it has anyone had luck finding a replacement, I cannot find them except for used ones but it feels like a gamble if they're used because it may be no good as well. Has anyone had good experiences with used switches? Any help is appreciated thanks 🙏

So I'm beginning to heavily suspect that it is my NSS that is causing my intermittent no start condition in my 86 Automatic. Will start most of the time in park, but when it doesn't it will only start rolling in neutral. I have tried starting it in neutral, switching it between neutral and park, jigging shifter in neutral and park, but the only way to get it to start is to have it rolling for whatever reason but she starts!

Replacing the switch seems easy, but actually finding the replacement seems to be the challenge. I see used ones on Ebay but nothing new from any manufacturer, are they just discontinued? Or has anyone else had this problem and was able to fix it by realigning to switch?

Any guidance is appreciated thanks!
