Moved into a historic home and saw a shadow figure. I am sick over it and terrified out of my mind.
Saw a shadow figure. I’ve never seen anything like that before. Ever. Witnessed it glide across my dining room through the window of my balcony. My cousin came over to visit a few hours later and we heard something tap three times on my gutter which is connected to the balcony we were sitting on. The yard is well lit, has motion sensors and we had lighted and clear visibility everywhere around us. Nothing was near the gutters, us, the balcony, or the rest of the house at all. Glad I had a witness for the knocking. I thought I was crazy when I initially saw the shadowy figure. We got the aftermath of the knocking on video and heard rustling on the ground. Can confirm there was nothing out there. I was staring into the yard when it all happened. Can anyone help me through this? To be clear, I’m in my 40s and so is my cousin. We aren’t dumbass teenagers looking for a thrill. I’m an atheist, have no belief in the afterlife, am completely new to paranormal “research”, as it has seemed ridiculous and illegitimate to me for most of my life. I’ve just never had an experience to make me believe otherwise, but now, here we are. Please help me with do’s and don’ts. I can confirm that something strange happened here. I can also confirm that there i that could’ve made that knocking noise. I have two witnesses, myself and my cousin, staring at this area under exceptionally good lighting. As a skeptic, I have ran through every possible scenario in my brain to explain what this could possibly be. I am baffled and stumped. This is the most horrifying and unexplainable thing I have ever witnessed. I am uncomfortable in my own home. I’m not willing to admit it was paranormal, but I’m open to all suggestions and I’ve decided I’m not approaching this with a closed mind. Thanks in advance!
Edit: also when this all happened I remember there was a bird outside whistling like crazy. It reminded me to mention it because the weird feeling I had is back while I’m sitting out here and the bird is back as well, whistling like crazy. I am going inside now. Fuck this.
