Just Caught Back Up
Just got caught up on BL. I just wanna say I love this game so far. The goal scorers have been unpredictable and the new philosophical battle is intriguing.
However I have some thoughts starting with THE egoist himself Isagi. Isagi is such a freakin hypocrite. Man was TIED for number one for ONE game and got this big head like every play and the very goal has to come through him. This is the same Osahi who hesitated against Barou to assist Kunigami. Who assisted Chigiri. Then over relied on Nagi in 2nd selection. Beat by Rin again. Then literally positioned himself to be “2nd Best” to Rin (successfully so) in the 3rd selection which is why he started against the U20 over Shidou and Barou. Then he did again in the first two NEL matches assisting Kunigami and Yukikiya because he literally could not score. Deadass if Kaiser wasn’t such a dick and took Isagi under his wing he prolly could have cucked him into being “2nd Best”. At least for the first two games then Isagi’s ego would have taken over and would have taken advantage of Lorenzo locking up Kaiser for the majority of the Uber game.
He’s not the only one either. As early as Niko there has been BL players sacrificing being “number 1” to be “number 2” along with Reo, Aryu, Tokimitsu, Hiori. Hell the only BL player in the top 5 that has adapted to be “2nd Best” has been Isagi. Not Rin, Shidou, Barou, Bachira, or Chigiri. And before anyone can say Bachira is an assist merchant he is often the center of attention every single assist. For example if you have two attackers: player A with 10 goals, 10 assists, dribble machine, and the center of the attack. Versus player B striker who scores 15 goals a season and is target man. There’s no doubt in my mind that player A is “number 1”.
Jinpachi Ego is also a hypocrite. If everyone on the BL team was actually going for their own goals then wtf if the point of a “striker” to lead the line and be the focal point of attack. Anyone playing defense is not being a striker. Gagamaru is playing for the team and sake of BL not himself. And Aiku isn’t even from BL or a striker his ego is to stop strikers.
Also remember the goal of BL. To create the number 1 striker itw and win the WC. Ego’s goal was never to create a team of strikers and win the WC. Ego knows the importance of balance and system if he didn’t then he would be starting Barou, Shidou, and Bachira in every single match.
Post group stage Ego is going to be starting Sae who also wants to be “2nd Best” as the “Best midfielder itw” and is looking for his own “perfect striker” which is exactly what Hugo has already done with Loki.
Also I know Destroyer Rin just woke up and will prolly score a goal. But I’m very confused by BL’s over reliance on Isagi when Rin is also “Number 1” post NEL even when he split minutes and the spotlight with Shidou. And even when BL has a track record of winning with Rin as number 1 against the U20 team. As soon as Isagi was marked out of the game they should have had just as many attack patterns built around Rin.
