Switch from Enfamil AR?
Hi there! FTM here to a happy & healthy 5.5 month old.
She has been on Enfamil AR since 4 weeks old. Originally she started on Enfamil gentle ease, but the spit up & reflux was soo bad so her pediatrician switched her to AR & put her on Pepcid.
The switch originally worked pretty well, less spit up than on the gentle ease & no more pain with it from the Pepcid, but significantly chunkier spit up. Luckily the AR didn’t constipate her at all.
Fast forward a few months and the spit up is worse than ever. We have tried everything from sitting up for 30 minutes post bottle, pace feed, burp between ozs, etc. and nothing is helping at all. I’m changing her bandana 4-5 times a day & multiple outfits.
She’s currently eating 4oz about every 2.5-3hrs and prefers the MAM bottles the most but I’ve tried other bottles as well.
While she is gaining weight i just feel like she’s still uncomfortable a lot of the day. I know it’s not a milk allergy but i have considered switching to a different formula. Idk if starting purées soon will also help or not?
I just feel like I’m going a little crazy & could use some thoughts or advice! Thanks in advance 🩷
