Hi! I’m planning my trip to Japan and would love to spend some time (even if as day trips) in small towns, as I think they have their own charm compared to cities. Some of the cities I’m thinking of going to are Nagasaki and Hiroshima (Tokyo as well but I have planned some day trips from there to kamakura and kawagoe) Are there small towns near Nagasaki/Hiroshima that people recommend? Also noting that I won’t be driving, so would be taking public transit. Thank you!
