Possible reasons for engine blow out
The engine on my truck blew out Monday night while I was driving. Thank god I was able to coast off the road.
Anyway, I was driving, heard about 5 clinking sounds and a big bang. Then lost all power and only enough roll to pull mostly to the shoulder of the road. We thought it was just the alternator belt. Was there all night until a mobile guy came to tell me the engine sieged. There were no warnings on my dashboard to let me know anything was wrong.
The only ligh that came on my dashboard was a HIGH COOLANT temp message once in a while going to a hill at about 28.or 29 kms per hour. But this incident happened coming down off a slight incline..
