Hi guys, this is my first post

I just repotted my Chinese dumpling Venus flytrap. I noticed that the terra-cotta pot absorbs water. Is this going to cause an issue? I’ve let the pot and soil completely saturate by adding distilled water into the reservoir below over and over and over again until I get a standing amount of water. My theory is that means that the pot is fully saturated as well as the soil. Once I fully saturate the pot and the soil, can I carry on as normal? I’m guessing that the pot and the soil will remain saturated and now that I have saturated them, I can just add water into my little pan on the bottom as normal. What are your guys thoughts?

Another question, do I need to wait to put the freshly repotted plant out in full sun for a few days? The instructions on the carnivorous plant soil that I got said to keep the plant not in direct sunlight for a couple of days to let the plant acclimate to being repotted. How long should I wait to give one of the traps a discoid roach or small cricket? (I have them on hand for my bearded and leopard gecko)

Any other tips for a new trap owner is appreciated.

*YES I USED DISTILLED WATER*

Thank you guys!

Bonus pics of my red piranha and king Henry.

PS can anyone recommend me a good online source for new plants???
