AstroGraph

Kia Ora Neographers,

This is another cypher I have been working on. Just for fun this time. It is a simple cypher of the English alphabet where letters are substituted for planets, presented around a central star.

As you can see it is still a work in progress, I still need to develop the punctuation.

I know it's not strictly accurate from an astronomy/cosmology perspective. I prioritised aesthetics rather than committing to hard science - this is the oppositte of how I usually operate so it made things interesting at least!

I always design my Cyphers in Fontlab8, which I have also done in this case, but I have not included any images in here due to the limitation of strictly vertical or horizontal scripts in the software. I think the words look better when drawn by hand in OneNote, as shown in the screenshots.

Rate my Conscript (for real this time)

Hello (again) fellow neographers*,

I am somewhat new to the world of neography/cyphers/conlanging but this is one of my first attempts at creating a basic cypher. My initial interest in this came from wanting to invent a new alphabet for a sci-fi novel I am writing. I didn't want to overcomplicate things too much on my first attempt, so this script is a simple cypher of the english alphabet and essentially follows the same gramatical rules.

I have created the glyphs in Fontlab, so it is available as a fully functional 'font' file that can be imported into any microsoft software and used digitally.

Interested in your thoughts!

*please forgive my earlier post where I forgot to attach the images, I'm also new to posting on reddit
