Hi all, I was recently diagnosed with hEDS and I’ve been seeing a physical therapist for my neck and shoulder pain twice a week for the past 3 weeks and I also do Pilates a couple times a week.

About a week ago I had my first brief experience of tinnitus and a while later was eating Cheetos and chewing them was extremely loud in my ears. It passed and I didn’t really think anything of it. Then this past Tuesday, I did Pilates in the morning and could tell I had strained my neck a bit. That night, I had another tinnitus experience which was followed with some brief vertigo and then the extreme sound sensitivity. It was so painfully loud brushing my teeth with my electric toothbrush, I wanted to cry. Both instances were in the evening and I was fine the next day.

Yesterday, I did Pilates again and this morning I am feeling a bit more sensitive to sound. Not like Tuesday, but enough to give me anxiety.

I mentioned it to my PT and she said it could be from my neck, but we would monitor it, work on strengthening my neck, and if it gets more frequent or worse, she may refer me to an audiologist.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if anyone has any suggestions on how to help ease the sensitivity?
