Hello! My parlor palm which I’ve had for a bit over 2 years is showing some dryness and cracked appearance at the base. It otherwise looks really good but it’s not really growing. We keep it in a low light area but it does receive indirect sunlight from a window to the left of the couch.
Easy Plant uses self watering pots which we fill every month.
Relevant context: my dog ate the bottom stems of this plant pretty dramatically at one point and I feel it’s never recovered from that.
Additionally, our money tree, also from easy plant, developed root rot and we repotted it last night in a dramatic effort to save it. While doing that we found the roots tied with rubber bands (there was never any indication this was done and would be needed to remove from the company) so now I am paranoid about the packaging of these other plants beneath the soil.
