What I Wish I Knew Earlier About Learning in School
Mistakes I made in high school was assuming teachers were always good at explaining things clearly. There’s a huge difference from teacher to teacher, and sometimes you need to find other ways to learn the material.
Ask questions before/after class, take notes, get copies of slides if possible, and supplement confusing lectures with videos or other explanations online. I eventually started using tldl a bit too when classes moved too fast so I didn’t fall behind trying to rewrite everything.
Also, don’t underestimate sleep, food, and asking for help early. A tutor, teacher, or even another student can explain something in a way that suddenly makes it click.
