Fun for injured Sheltie

Hi! So my girl Aurora is only 3 and this poor baby has gone through so much 😕 She had ANNPE 5 months ago (no surgery needed luckily) so I put rugs throughout my house because her left back leg still slips a little when walking fast or running. She finally started to be okay using stairs again and jumping on the couch if she wanted to.
A month ago she ripped her whole nail off (of the bad back left leg 😭) while running and chasing that favorite ball she’s cuddling. She won’t go up the stairs anymore now but will go down them. It was healing fine till last night I think a loop in the carpet caught that nail and was bleeding a little but was just the tip of it at least and it’s alright now.

What can she do for another few months that don’t involve playing with her ball and running like crazy? I feel so bad, she loves this thing so much but I want her nail to fully heal before we do anymore fetch on rugs/carpet 🫠 She just stares at it then stares at us 🤣 or throws it at us repeatedly lol. When she had ANNPE we gave her so many treats the vet was telling us she should lose weight but like that’s all she could do. Also most “heavy chewer” treats don’t last long at all.
So if you have another idea, please let me know! Thanks!!
