Neck Pain?

I haven’t officially been diagnosed with UC yet, but I’m almost positive it’s coming. Painful, bloody BMs several times a day. Calprotectin is 3,250. Colonoscopy showed “Moderately active colitis with expansion of lamina propria” in the rectum. Also my father has UC.

My question is: I’ve been having pretty debilitating bilateral neck pain since the beginning of April, about 2 weeks after my bloody stools started. It’s on both sides vertically under my ears and radiates up to the base of my skull with movement. Urgent Care assumed it was muscle strain and prescribed muscle relaxants, however that didn’t touch the pain and I avoided Advil since this all started before my colonoscopy. Things are slow moving with my GI, and I’m wondering if I should wait to talk to him or try other avenues to address the neck pain? The calprotectin results just came back this past weekend, but it will likely be a few weeks before I hear from my GI again.

TIA!!!
