Hi again, everyone! Wow, I can't start this new post without expressing how happy and grateful I am for the way my previous entry in this Chinese paper cutting series for Valko was received, because... it truly means a lot to me that something I put so much love and hard work into got so much love in return 🥹 Really and truly, thank you. Thank you all so much ♡ Your support means more to me than I can express.

And well, I can't come out with an animated GIF that consists of 20 paper cuttings every time, can I? LOL, though I wish I could. I already fell in love with the craft of paper cutting, and I love adding movement and bringing it to life even more! (: Regardless, here's a return to form with this paper cutting of Valko's incredibly cute in-game portrait ♡ (stencil included!) For this one I also changed up the messaging, the tag reads "全世界都爱敖尹" or "The whole world loves Ao Yin" 🫶

So, I hope you all enjoy this one too! As well as look forward to the next one, which is already in the works and actually will be another animated GIF from paper cuttings 👀 16 frames this time.

Hi everyone! I come to you with a special entry for the ongoing paper cutting project I'm doing in honor of Valko ♡ I made paper cuttings of 20 frames total in order to create this short animation of the moment in the Foregone Fall trailer where we put headphones on Valko's cute wolf ears, because I love it sooo much (:

It was inspired by the comment one person made on my fourth entry in this series, where they joked that by the next week I'd have somehow made the whole trailer into paper cuttings, LOL. That made me laugh, and then... it gave me an idea. The whole trailer would be too ambitious of a project, but maybe... a few seconds of animation was feasible 👀 And so this idea was born! So thank you so much for that comment (: This was really fun to put together as well as a LOT of work, so I hope you all enjoy! ♡

Hi everyone! Long time no see, sorry about that! (And especially sorry to everyone who was so sweet to tell me they look forward to these posts every day, that really moved me, so I feel especially bad I haven't been doing that recently 😞) Rest assured, I'm still passionately pursuing paper cutting in honor of Valko (: It's just that the more ambitious paper cutting project I mentioned in my last post? Yeah, I got fully swept up in in that one, and it's going great! I expect to be able to post it soon ♡

In the meantime I'd hoped I could keep up with regular posting, I really did, but I couldn't... unfortunately. The truth is, doing this, it takes most if not all of my free time, so I had to choose. And I chose the more ambitious project that would take longer to do, but would make for a fun end result (: I still really wanted to post something again though, so today I offer you a sneak peek at what the ambitious project is, I modified it so it fits with my other posts! 👀

The moment in the Foregone Fall trailer where MC puts the headphones on Valko's wolf ears is just so charming and cute, I really really love it 🥹 So here's a paper cutting of one particular frame of it! As always, I included a stencil as well for everyone who would like to join in (:

I want to thank everyone who's shown such lovely support so far, I truly appreciate it ♡ I haven't been active on Reddit at all in the last week and a half, so I'll be doing some catching up after posting this, but I hope everyone who decided to try out my stencils had fun with them! From Twitter I already know of one, u/dahngrest did a phenomenal job with the stencil of Valko's standard myth 👀 Really well done and incredible to see 🫶

Here I am once again with another paper cutting for Valko 🫶 This time of him with the chocolate milk, in which I challenged myself to also cut out the bit of the "awooo milk" that's not covered by his finger haha. I told myself I didn't have to, but I thought it'd be fun to try! Tbh, I felt kind of weird not including his ears this time (': that was a first. Also as promised, the stencil is included for anyone who'd like to give this one a go (:

This is the last one of the circular format, for now at least. After this one I'll go for something different again, as well as work on something a little more ambitious which will take more time but should make for a very fun result, so stay tuned!

Aaand, here's my latest work in honor of Valko! ♡ I won't lie, I'm pretty proud of this one (: Feels like I'm really getting somewhere here. As already mentioned, I really love this craft now, it's a very unique challenge as a creative.

And speaking of challenge, I was really happy to see so many people mention they'd also like to try! As promised, in today's post I included stencils of my original work from Day 4, Day 5 and now Day 6. From the next post on, I'll post both a new work and its accompanying stencil at the same time.

I also want to give my thanks again for everyone who's left a comment and an upvote, I appreciate you all! (And I apologize for the technical difficulties of my last post!) And I look forward to seeing everyone else's work (😄

I sincerely hope you enjoy this one as well, as well as find the stencils useful! ♡ This is a beautiful craft I've been enjoying very much, and I wish everyone who wishes to try to have as much fun with it as I've been having (:

As for tips, for these particular designs I recommend using a cutting mat and a hobby knife/scalpel. Other than that, just take the time to do this carefully and methodically. Relax. Throw on some music or a podcast, get in the zone and have fun with it (: Adjust the design and simplify the cuts if you need to, that's also okay! As always, I'm using the #ValkoChinesePaperCutting on social media, and you can too, if you want!

Yes, I'm still here, practising the beautiful craft of paper cutting in honor of Valko (and gaining a new hobby from it!) This one of his 4* art was really really challenging, but very satisfying once I finally finished it.

I took a bit longer on this one of Valko in his myth outfit for... hopefully obvious reasons hahaha. But I honestly love the craft, and have many, many more ideas. So expect more posts--I will NOT rest until our wolfie is home with us ♡

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who left such lovely comments on my first post of this series ♡ This is now day 2, featuring Valko's favorite flower (lily of the valley) and my first attempt at a portrait of Valko himself, inspired by the designs from the Chinese New Year event (: Today was even more of a challenge, because while yesterday I was using templates (found in u/Roses-AndThorns' post), today I had to make the designs myself first. That, and the many, many tiny cutouts for Valko's hair nearly made me weep hahaha, but it was worth it! I'm learning a lot here and I'm already excited thinking about how to improve tomorrow.

I saw the post from u/Roses-AndThorns (thank you for the award ♡) yesterday and couldn't help but jump in immediately!! :) As this was my first time, it was a challenge, but ultimately fun! I think I'll try lily of the valleys next, and maybe also try my hand at creating a portrait of Valko, like we had of the other 5 with the CNY event. Anyone else?
