Turnitin AI detection feels completely inconsistent and it’s affecting my grades

Same as title...

I’m honestly pretty frustrated with Turnitin right now. I wrote my assignment myself from scratch and still got a 95% AI score. Meanwhile, a classmate literally used ChatGPT + “humanise” prompts and somehow got 30%.

I even lost marks because by the time my lecturer responded to my query, the final grades were already locked in.

I’ve tested a bunch of tools out of frustration, and ironically what actually helped me calm down was switching my workflow to AiTexTools for rewriting + checking + refining instead of jumping between random tools. At least everything is in one place and consistent.

But still… how are these AI scores even this inconsistent? 🤦‍♂️
