Cloth pads while traveling

Hello,

I’ll be traveling on a 3 day trip with cloth pads for the first time and I might not have quite enough clean ones for the trip. I’ll have roommates and I’m not sure how I would go about washing and drying them. If anyone has tips, I’d love to hear them. Thanks!

Advice for a new Technician on rigs

Hello, i just passed my technician exam yesterday and am waiting on getting my callsign set up but I am going to be receiving some gear as described below and was wondering how viable it would be to set it up as a station. I’m like 70 percent sure this is the right place to ask bit feel free to point me elsewhere. I plan to upgrade to general in about a month and then amateur extra in the summer of 2027 as well. I am also currently only in possession of a baofeng uv-5r with a nagoya 771. Here’s the description of the equipment. I won’t know how bad it is until i can see it or the specifics either.
- an HF rig 2 m rig an antenna tuner a power supply and a lot of dusty and corroded, other junk. It’s all about 45 years old.

I believe that that includes and Icom ic 735.
In terms of my technical skills, I can solder and do some basic stuff with arduino and pcbs , I have a year of experience in FIRST robotics competition ( that should out my age), I maintain a bambu A1 and can cad and maintain a variety of mechanical skills

Anyways, is it viable for me to set this up as a station? I am receiving this for free. Would it also be wiser to stash it in a closet until i have a better matched skill set? Or should I I attempt to get some money for it and put together a more modern station?
