I'm having trouble soaking my new grow kit... the water doesn't penetrate it well and stay on top... no water at the bottom of the kit... what do I do ?

I’m going to receive a Zamnesia Classic Golden Teacher grow kit. The problem is that there is currently a heatwave, and temperatures will reach 36°C / 96°F for a little over a week.

I don’t have air conditioning. Can I start the kit in these temperatures? Or would it be better to keep the kit in the fridge until the heatwave has passed?
