going to uoft next year for ece, looking for advice

TLDR: is uoft engineering / skule toxic or are people chill? do yall gatekeep from eachother!?
im committed to uoft sg for computer engineering, and will be incoming in the fall. To be honest all i hear about engineering school is bad stuff lol so im ready for the academic pressure (i hope), but my main concern is the community.
Is the uoft engineering community a toxic space? I know people always beef over internships/co ops but i was wondering if this is common at uoft.
Im a very social person and being around people who share such a quality, like talking to people, and just being non toxic is very important to me lol
i know the waterloo mfs all essentially hate anyone who lands better internships than them and i jus wanna know how the environment is at uoft
