Loft tank overflow dripping

Hi everyone. I’m hoping to get some hints on how bad of a problem this is: we just bought a house with a gravity water system (tanks in the loft). We noticed a few days ago that water keeps dripping from the overflow pipe, sometimes a little, sometimes pretty badly. We don’t know what the issue is, but we noticed that if we flush one of the toilets it seems to fix itself.

I’m really not familiar with the system (first house we own with this kind of system) so we were wondering whether it’s something that can be fixed from inside the house or from the loft (very cramped, not really eager to go up there).

Can anyone advise?

Timing when to apply for a British passport

I’ve recently scheduled my citizenship ceremony for next week. The communication stated that once I become a British citizen my UKVI account will update and my settled status will be voided, therefore I can’t use my EU passport to enter the UK anymore.

However, doing a little digging I understand that this is not the case, and the settled status remains active and EU passports are still an option for dual citizens.

I have a few business trips scheduled between September and November. I don’t have enough time between them to apply for my first British passport. I would like to ask a few questions:

  1. If the gov decides to enforce the British passport or no entry, will they give notice?
  2. When applying, do I have to send my physical passport or does a scanned copy also work?
  3. Does the passport stay with the Home Office for the entire duration of the application being processed (a month or so)?

I travel a lot for work so I’m curious if there’s a way to apply for a passport but also be able to visit customers (essentially my work).

Thank you
