The first Bowie LP I came to under my own steam, more or less upon release, was Low (I loved The Man Who Fell to Earth). I had heard his fabulous singles as a kid - Jean Genie, Sorrow (I still LOVE that) and, of course, Rebel Rebel - but by the time i was old enough to buy albums, I was a forward-looking New Wave/Punk/Post Punk kid, and excavating Bowie's back catalogue felt regressive.

Many, many years later – decades - I read a stunning article about Diamond Dogs. I listened to the album as I read it, and heard it all, even the songs I was familiar with, as if for the first time. I still come back to Diamond Dogs as a latter-day favourite. It seems to bridge a gap, while occupying its own space at the same time – 1984, though not my favourite track, foreshadows Young Americans in such a brilliant way. A pivotal album like no other.

I'm conducting an Art project designed to represent how people are feeling at the moment. Everyone's anonymous response will be collated for a an image to show the variety of feeling within the respondents. I'd be very grateful if I could ask you to have a quick look.
