Qualification Loopholes..
Hi All, I’m after noticing a loop hole in my work (Engineering Contractor) where they are hiring completely unqualified staff. They are hiring them in as Juniors or another lower entry job entirely and then changing them over to the fully qualified position after they complete a few weeks NFQ Level 7 course (the type that might give you 5 credits toward a L7qualification) and passing them off as fully qualified (To a L7)
I’ve found out this has been going on for the last few years and it has upset some actually qualified people. The kicker at the moment is one of these people with a few weeks of qualifications has now been made a Senior and is now over people who actually served their time and got qualified by beating them in an internal interview for the position. How would you handle this situation?
