Birads 3 6 month follow up
I had a BIRADS 3 result back in December for my painful lump in my right breast. Pain is what ultimately led me to finding my lump, and the pain has gotten worse and more consistent than before. I had my follow up imaging done on June 8th. They did the mammogram first and did a spot mammogram as well, which wasn’t done the first time. She told me that sometimes the radiologist doesn’t even want or need an ultrasound done but they would let me know. Ended up having the ultrasound done, which lasted I would say less than 5 minutes. The tech ended it very quickly with a “welp all done…” handed me the towel and sent me off. My first set of imaging done back in December were uploaded to my portal before I even got back home. It is now Wednesday and they still have not been uploaded. I do have a follow up with the breast surgeon next Wednesday, so I assume they’re waiting to upload the results until then…? I also assume it’s nothing bad since I haven’t heard anything…? Idk. My anxiety is bad and I know I could just call but I feel like that would be a lot and if there’s a problem, they would call me, right..? Ugh. This whole process is so anxiety inducing.
