Scary situation
I got a scary one for ya. for the past two months have had tooth pain. though it was a cavity, had it checked, no cavity. Instead we see an ulcer on the inner side of the lower jaw. I am told to wait two weeks, and it should resolve itself. Well, it kinda did. Out of the ulcer popped a splinter of bone. The dentist pulled it out, and the next day, another one popped out, so, I just had that removed on Friday. The Dentist decided to also do a 3d scan of my head/jaw to see what is going on. WELLL, the news is my inner jaw is undermined and is breaking up near my wisdom tooth and rear molar. I need to see an oral surgeon to see what options I have. I do clench/grind my teeth at night and have chipped front teeth multiple times. I also have mandibular tori under my tongue from the grinding stimulating bone growth. So, anyone experience this? Sure could use some reassurance that this isn't as bad as I think it may be (lower jaw surgery, how weak is the bone, is it repairable without side affects). I would guess wisdom teeth are going, that is fine.
