ILR October – remote worker with a few long trips abroad, anyone similar?
Hi all, I know this topic comes up a lot and I've read through many threads, but I just want to triple-check for my own sanity!
I will be eligible to apply for ILR in October. My concern is around absences. Over the 5 years I've made several trips back to my home country, though I've never exceeded 180 days in any rolling 12-month period. My longest single trip was around 100 days.
My company is fully remote and all my trips were in line with company policy. My employer is happy to confirm this.
So my questions are:
- Has anyone been in a similar situation and successfully gotten ILR approved?
- What documents did you pull together to support your absences?
Really appreciate any advice or reassurance from people who've been through this. The fee is not cheap and I really don't want to get this wrong!
Thank you in advance.
