My fiance had his K1 interview at the Casablanca consulate on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The interview went well, it was over in less than 10 minutes. No additional documents were requested. The officer kept his passport and told him everything looked good. He was given a 221g that was just marked "administrative review." After the interview the CEAC moved from "ready" to "application received" and there it has sat since. We did have one "touch" on the case June 8 but no update in the status. Everyone else from our interview date has been issued at this point and we are getting really nervous. The consulate was shut down for almost an entire week for Eid and memorial day, so it's been about two working weeks since we interviewed.

Does anyone have some thoughts or ideas? Can we do anything besides wait?

Hello all. My fiance and I are (hopefully) getting towards the end of the K1 process. We submitted our DS160 and scheduled his interview. He had his medical last week. His interview is scheduled for May 19. (Casablanca consulate allows online scheduling) We have not, however, received a "welcome" letter/email from the consulate that I have seen other couples get. We have the letter from NVC saying the case was transferred to Casablanca. Does anyone know if this would prevent him from having his interview?
