I found my favourite black tea; what blend is it?
Photos of the box of my favourite tea, which does not say the kinda of black tea are in it.
I got this tea a while back and just now finishing the box. This loose leaf ticks so many boxes for me but I'm trying to narrow down WHY so I can repeat the experience without being stuck to one specific brand that my corner shop no longer sells 😭.
The box is super vague and generic, it says it's a full bodied blend of black teas (51% Indian tea).
- it brews to a deep opaque brown almost instantly but doesn't go bitter/ overbrew/stew for ages, so it's perfect in a pot.
- it is small fragments of tea that looks like coffee grounds both dry and once wet... It doesn't open up into leaves like some.
- I tried another small cut/ small grain tea, also Indian but it overbrewed / went bitter immediately, so it's not just the size of the tea I guess.
Any help with names of tea types or blends or am I stuck with this specific export pack of this specific tea ? I drink decaf too, and wanted to see if it's a blend I can recreate with decaf versions of it's components but that's a side quest.
