Hair loss on semaglutide, for those who experienced it, did it eventually grow back?
I’m hoping to hear from people who went through hair shedding while on semaglutide and came out the other side.
I’ve been on semaglutide for several months now and overall it’s been helpful. The weight loss has been gradual and not especially dramatic, which is why I was surprised when I started noticing increased shedding.
I honestly assumed hair loss was something that mostly happened with rapid weight loss, so seeing it happen despite relatively modest progress caught me off guard.
I’ve already spoken with my dermatologist and have been focusing on things like protein intake, iron levels, and overall nutrition. At this point I’m mainly looking for personal experiences.
For those who dealt with it: How long did the shedding phase last? Did it eventually slow down on its own? And if it did grow back, roughly how long did that process take?
The hair loss itself is honestly stressing me out more than the number on the scale right now.
