F1 Student Facing Class A Misdemeanor Question
Hey everyone. I’m an F1 student (rising senior) and recently got charged with a Class A misdemeanor (falsely reporting the police) after reporting an incident to police that they later said did not happen. I have no prior record and I’m currently speaking with lawyers, but I’m really stressed about possible immigration consequences and wanted to hear if anyone has dealt with something similar before. Should I be worried?

So, an incident happened to me, involving impersonators pulling me over. I reported it to the police. Two weeks after, I got a call from an officer saying that they saw something else in the cameras, meaning that they think I have made all of that up, which is crazy to me. I have a court date coming up, but I don’t know how serious all of this is.
