Advice for new MEP engineers

Hi, I’m a new grad engineer entering the MEP space as a mechanical engineer. I have no experience in MEP but I really want to dive in with both feet in this career.

Please share any advice you have, resources that you used when you were learning BIM, life hacks of how to survive in the construction space as the new guy, reference books for calculations, helpful websites, etc. I’m mainly just nervous to be starting on a clean slate and want to set myself up for a great career in MEP. Bonus points if you can share about being a woman in construction/MEP.

Thanks in advance!
