BJJ Metas

I’ve been watching a bit more high level jujitsu recently and I’ve noticed some trends.

NOGI: Good wrestling, Leg locks, Back attacks.

GI: Grip fighting, Guard Pulls, Berimbolos, Collar Chokes, Arm Bars.

So my l question if these techniques are what we see at the highest level of competition most often, would you progress much faster by mainly just focusing on them? Or do these work because everyone’s so good at defending everything else so well so they juke it out in specific styles?

Just some food for thought 💭

Alexa Herse

Does anyone else find her going and winning purple belt worlds and getting her brown belt on the podium exceptionally impressive and wholesome after all the nasty stuff that went on in ATOS?
