Hello final year SRCC student this side just wondering about few things

I'm working on a project around student transitions and one thing keeps surprising me.

Most platforms help students answer:

"What college should I choose?"

Very few help students answer:

"Who should I connect with once I get there?"

For seniors:

If you could build one tool for your first-year self, what would it do?

Genuinely curious.

Current DU students: What do you wish you had known before joining college?

I'm a recent SRCC graduate, and while talking to a few CUET aspirants, I realized most of them are spending hours worrying about cutoffs, preference lists and college predictions.

But looking back, the things that actually impacted my college life were completely different.

For me, it was:

  • Understanding how societies actually work
  • Knowing which PGs to avoid
  • Finding the right people early
  • Learning about opportunities much sooner

None of these things were obvious during the admission process.

So I'm curious:

If you could go back to the summer before your first year, what's one thing you wish someone had told you?

Could be about:

  • Admissions
  • PGs/Hostels
  • Friendships
  • Societies
  • Academics
  • Placements
  • Internships
  • Campus life in general

Let's create a thread that incoming students can actually benefit from.
