Do people actually care if you make mistakes in normal/msq content?
Hello everyone :)
I’m fairly new to ffxiv and am currently in post-ARR and this may sound like a stupid question or that i’m worried over nothing but I was just genuinely wondering whether or not other people care if i make mistakes in normal/msq content?
My progress in game has been pretty slow largely because of the roadblock that is trials that I can’t use duty support for. I never really go in blind to any fight I do as I always look up guides and teach myself all the mechanics as best I can, but I still sometimes end up getting a bit confused or slipping up here and there when actually in a fight. Because of this I do often worry about annoying the people I play with and I would hate to be wasting their time or impacting their experience. So far things have mostly been alright, I think i handle things okay, most trials are like five mins anyways, and other players have been quite kind to me so far. But I was just wondering if anyone could offer their opinion or reassurances on this because I think that would really help. Again, I know it probably doesn’t seem that important to other people but it does impact my progression and generally how i feel about it a lot.
Thanks for taking the time to read my dumb worrying and if you decide to comment :)
Edit: Thank you all for your lovely comments so far, everyone has been really encouraging! Just to answer a couple questions/common talking points that i see: I’m currently playing dragoon and don’t really have any plans to switch into being a tank/healer anytime soon. I don’t intend on raiding apart from Crystal Tower, although I would like to one day. I think i’m quite good at avoiding telegraphed attacks (i think that’s what they’re called?) and I don’t believe I get hit that often; thankfully I haven’t died in a fight at all yet. I’m trying to reply to a lot of you but again thank you! :D
